B.M.S. - Academics

Eligibility

A candidate in order to be eligible for admission to the B.M.S. degree course shall have passed the 12th Std. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branch with two or three or four years duration after passing the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination.

Duration

The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be six semesters spread over in 3 years.

 

Program Details

The Department of Management Studies (B.M.S.) program is a 3-year Undergraduate Management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The aim of this program is to provide comprehensive management training and exposure to the students by way of innovative practical approach teaching learning methodology. Interactive teaching, projects, presentations, case-study analysis, field-studies, industrial visits, soft skills development, internships and placements are an integral part of BMS pedagogy.

The program also aims to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship among young minds and also to develop mid-level managerial skills for industry. As an Autonomous College, the BMS curriculum has been professionally upgraded to meet the demands of the Corporate world.

Bridge Course

For the BMS program, the students come from all 3 faculties (Arts, Science & Commerce), thus to assist the knowledge enhancement of the Arts & Science faculty students and make them stand at par with the Commerce/Management subjects, a Bridge Course is offered in the following subjects :

Mathematics & Statistics – 15 hours including Tutorials

Basics of Accountancy – 15 hours including Tutorials

 

Scheme of Evaluation: 75:25

External Evaluation: 75 Marks

Internal Evaluation: 25 Marks
